How it works

What does "adaptive" actually mean?
After every answer, Foxlark refines its estimate of how well your child has mastered each skill and picks the next problem at a difficulty close to where they are now. The result is that problems land in the "productive struggle" zone — challenging enough to grow, gentle enough to keep going.
What grades does Foxlark cover?
Grades 1 through 12. Within each grade, the engine starts with foundational skills and gradually opens up the harder ones as your child masters the basics.
What subjects are included?
Math, English, Science, Technology (including computational thinking), and Engineering — all on one subscription, all part of one coherent curriculum.
Where do the questions come from?
The bulk of problems come from a hand-crafted question library — fact-checked, age-appropriate, and graded instantly. When AI features are enabled, they add extra variety on top of the library, behind age-appropriate safety checks.
Does Foxlark automatically promote my child to the next grade?
No. Grade advancement is always a parent action. When your child has mastered enough of their current grade, the parent dashboard shows a 'Ready to advance' indicator — you decide when to push the button. Mastered students keep getting harder within-grade problems in the meantime.

Safety and data

How do you handle my child's data?
Parents create the account; a child profile only stores a display name, age, and avatar. There is no email field, no phone number, and no contact capture on the child-facing app. All practice data stays under your parent account; you can export the full history or delete the profile at any time.
Are there any third-party trackers on the child-facing app?
No. We don't run analytics or advertising trackers on the lesson pages your child sees. Billing and operational analytics happen on the parent dashboard side only.
Is Foxlark COPPA-compliant?
Yes. The parent owns the account and the child profile carries no contact information — by design, there is nowhere on a child record to put it. Read the full Privacy Policy for the details.

Pricing and billing

How does the 14-day trial work?
When you start a trial, we do not capture a payment method. If you cancel any time before day 14, you owe nothing. After the trial ends, the card you provide (only if you continue) is charged for the plan you chose.
How do I cancel?
From the parent dashboard, click Manage billing. You'll be taken to the Stripe-hosted customer portal where you can cancel in one click. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period — after that your account returns to the Free tier with all history preserved.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes — switch any time from the customer portal. Stripe handles proration automatically.
Is there a refund policy?
Because the 14-day trial is free, we generally do not offer refunds after a billing period has started. If something goes wrong, email us — we will sort it out.

Getting help

My child is stuck on a problem they should know — what do I do?
Open the Skills view for that child in the parent dashboard. You'll see which skill they're struggling with, can review their recent attempts, and can assign a focused homework on that skill.
I think a question is wrong — how do I report it?
Email us with the prompt and your child's answer. Each AI-generated question is automatically reviewed for correctness before it reaches your child, and our hand-crafted library is reviewed by humans — but typos slip through and we fix them quickly.
