Our mission

Every kid deserves the right next question.

Most kids spend their school day in classes that move too fast for some and too slow for others. The fix isn't "more practice" — it's better-aimed practice. Foxlark is built around a research-backed model of mastery that picks the next question one kid at a time, every time.

How Foxlark adapts

A research-backed model of mastery does the heavy lifting; everything else sits on top.

It tracks what your child knows

After every answer we update our estimate of how well your child has mastered each skill. Right answers raise it; wrong answers lower it; hints used count partial credit. The estimate sharpens with every problem.

It picks the right level

Every problem sits at a known difficulty. We choose the next one closest to your child's current ability — the "productive struggle" zone where learning is fastest.

Quality-checked content

The question library is hand-crafted: fact-checked, age-appropriate, and graded instantly. When AI features are enabled, they extend the library with extra variety behind age-appropriate safety checks.

Parent-actuated progression

Foxlark never auto-promotes a child to the next grade. When a kid is ready, the parent dashboard says so — and you decide. Mastered students get harder within-grade problems until you say "move them up".

What we believe

  • Children's data is the parent's data. A child profile only carries a display name, age, and avatar. There is no email field, no phone number, no contact capture, no third-party tracker on the child-facing app. Export your kid's full history at any time. Delete it whenever you want.
  • "AI" is a tool, not a marketing line. We don't replace a teacher with a chatbot. AI extends the library with extra variety only where it genuinely improves the experience, behind safety checks designed for primary- and secondary-school learners. The hand-crafted library always works underneath.
  • Practice should feel kind. Wrong answers get a hint or a worked partial, not a red X. Streaks reset gently. The product is for kids who lose confidence quickly, as well as for the ones who race ahead.
  • One subscription, one family. No upsells. No paywalled subjects. No "premium" hints. The price you see is the price you pay; the trial doesn't take a card; cancellation is one click in your parent dashboard.
